Data the app may use
Slicker Direct may store app settings, direct connection information, app-generated identifiers, display names, messages or activity state, and other data needed to send, receive, and manage direct interactions.

The formal Privacy Policy below is the controlling policy. Before that legal language, we want to give you a clearer, more practical explanation of what Slicker Direct, Slicker Home, and the Slicker website do with data.
In plain terms: the Slicker apps are designed for small, trusted groups and direct coordination. The apps use some data to make features work, but very little leaves the household or direct relationship. When data does leave a device, it is generally for delivery, synchronization, analytics, support, website operation, payments, or legal/security reasons described in the formal policy.
This section is explanatory only. It does not override the General Privacy Policy below.
Slicker Direct is intended for direct coordination between people you intentionally connect with. It is not designed as a public social network, an advertising profile, or a broad data collection system.
Slicker Direct may store app settings, direct connection information, app-generated identifiers, display names, messages or activity state, and other data needed to send, receive, and manage direct interactions.
Direct content is meant for the people involved in that direct relationship. Some delivery or synchronization data may pass through Slicker infrastructure or service providers when needed to operate the app.
Slicker Direct is not intended to sell your message content, build an advertising profile from your private interactions, or make your direct content public.
This section is explanatory only. It does not override the General Privacy Policy below.
Slicker Home is built for household coordination: quick prompts, household activity notifications, NFC-triggered actions, local network discovery, proximity features, and arrival or departure awareness. Most of the meaningful household data is intended to stay on members' devices and inside the household.
The app may store your display name, app-generated user and device IDs, household memberships, household settings, trusted NFC or invite information, recent in-app messages, activity state, notification state, local preferences, Wi-Fi names saved for household detection, and optional household or waypoint locations.
Slicker Home may use device location, background location, and nearby Wi-Fi information for features like Near Me filtering, household grouping, movement alerts, and arrival or departure detection. If location sharing is enabled, location-related updates may be shared with other members of the household so their devices can show relevant proximity and movement information.
Household signals are sent peer-to-peer on the local network when possible. When members are away from the same Wi-Fi or local delivery does not work, a remote relay may be used to deliver signals. The app is designed so household payloads are protected before remote delivery, and relay systems are used for delivery rather than for reading household content.
Slicker Home is not designed to read your contacts, camera, photos, call logs, SMS history, or unrelated files. Voice input, if used, is handled through your device's speech recognition flow rather than a Slicker-specific microphone permission.
The app may send limited usage analytics, such as feature events, app language, general device/browser information, and a hashed app user ID. These analytics are meant to improve reliability and product design. They are not intended to include household message text, exact location coordinates, household roster contents, or NFC tag contents.
You can control household membership, location tracking, remote signaling/local-only behavior where available, notification behavior, and backup/export choices. Turning off a permission or feature may disable the parts of the app that depend on it.
This section is explanatory only. It does not override the General Privacy Policy below.
The Slicker website is separate from the household or direct app experience. Website data is more typical web data: pages visited, browser or device information, IP address, cookies or similar technologies, contact form submissions, login information if a website login is offered, and payment-related records if paid products or services are used.
Website analytics, cookies, advertising measurement, payment processors, hosting providers, and similar service providers may receive information as described in the formal policy. The website should not be understood as having access to the ordinary household content stored inside Slicker Home members' devices.
